Hammer of the Scots
In recognition of Robert Burns' birthday we are planning a game of Hammer of the Scots.

Hammer of the Scots brings to life the War of Scottish Independence 1297-1314.  As the English player, you seek to subdue a rebellion led by the Braveheart, William Wallace.  The Scottish player must defeat the invading armies of Edward I to win freedom.  This entertaining game will give you insight into a fascinating period of Scottish history and culture.  Strategy is helpful but skillful risk assessment is also required.
In this playing of the game the Scots took the North and the English took the South of Scotland.  The Scots held Argyll, Atholl and the English Lennox and Mentieth.  Several battles were fought over Fife and Angus with the war ending battle being at Fife in 1301.  Edward I died in battle with Wallace leading the Scots.  On the birthday of Robert Burns it was the English who got Hammered.
