Napoleon’s Last Battles The Waterloo Campaign
Course Number: HUM 218 – 001 Examine Napoleon’s last campaign using both historical sources and historical simulations. Learn about strategy and tactics of Napoleonic warfare in the context of the Waterloo campaign and use strategic games aimed at simulating the campaign battles.
During the simulated games, command an army in the battles of Ligny, Quatre Bras, Wavre and Waterloo and test your strategic and tactical abilities. No previous knowledge of this historical period is required. This course is particularly suited to individuals who enjoy military history and strategy board games such as chess and backgammon. This way of learning is highly effective and although demanding it is fun and rewarding.
The instructor has a very extensive background in political and military strategy. He has been teaching strategy and history for more than twenty years for military, business leaders and hobbiests.
